DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Personal Lines, Toronto, London or Vancouver (Hybrid)
POSITION:   Jr Underwriter (Personal Lines) 

Job Accountabilities:

In this position you will support the underwriting of portal submissions and develop our Personal Lines portfolio, with the mandate to grow profitability, and support exceptional working relationships with our brokers/advisors. This position requires a candidate with developing technical and underwriting skills to provide support within the Personal Lines team. The incumbent should be an adept communicator, who is capable of making operational decisions within their level of authority.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • General Insurance License (Vancouver and Calgary Locations)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Working towards or willingness to obtain CAIB/CIP
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
