Charity Contest Winner – Canuck Place Childrens Hospice. Canuck Place Children’s Hospice helps give short lives the gift of great days. This charity provides pediatric palliative care to children 0–19 with life-threatening illnesses and has a team of compassionate clinical experts, who support families to make lasting memories. Canuck Place provides pain and symptom management, medical respite care, grief and bereavement counselling. There is art, education, music, play and recreation therapy. All at no cost to families.
Charity Contest Winner – La Maison La Nacelle. Since 1991, La Maison La Nacelle has offered assistance, accompaniment, support and accommodation services for women and children victims of domestic violence in 36 municipalities in the MRC Nicolet-Yamaska and Bécancour.
